Drake’s brand new album Scorpion has smashed records, including becoming the first album to reach a billion streams in one week. It's also the first to have all 25 tracks simultaneously appear on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, seven of which are in the top 10. So how did he do it? Rapper Odario Williams, a CBC Radio host who performs with the group Grand Analog, says the secret to Drake's success was widening the definition of hip-hop.
